Spring10 BILLBOARD Designs

Posted in Assignment, Problem Solving by 9islands on May 5, 2010

Group techs should post the link to the final image (1200 x 600px) for your billboard design in the comment section here. Use the group name. Due date: May 11.

billboard project

Each student should vote on favorite billboard. Go to comments and leave a reply on your favorite design. Let us know if it is because of what they are saying (content), how (form) or both.

RESULTS: Looks like the Hadoukens have the top votes at 7! Congrats – and in honor of their theme, here is a link to a recent story about two Banksy pieces recently tagged over in the Mission. And here is a magazine titled Refused put out by a former SJSU grad student. Nice work everyone!

This is my fav one ! It expresses the loneliness of the person. I can feel the meaning of this billboard.

This is my favorite billboard. I feel the group really captured the concept of adding words in with the picture. I like the art element and how they show that art is anything you want it to be. Good Job!!

I really like this one, I like the way you showed an art form that some people don’t consider as art and used it as your design. I also like the way you incorperated the word art into your statement.

Favorite one. Really like the play on letters. Confident message in a controversial field. Flat out decent design.

I like the “what are you looking at billboard”. It was very different from the rest of the billboards because it incorporated the letters in the text. Very interesting and creative :)
